During our visit to Fort Collins for Nolan's 4th birthday we spent Saturday hiking up Horsetooth mountain. Heath (my brother) thought it would be an easy hike for the whole family. It turned into an 8-10 mile hike round trip that climbed about 4,000ft in elevation. No one is really sure how far we hiked but it was greater than 6 miles and less than 10. It was great fun! I'm so impressed that Reece (age 7) and Nolan (now 4) made it the whole way. Heath, Andrea, Simon, and Tim (Andrea's dad) took turns carrying Nolan.
Reece and I ran the last few miles down the trail and finished first.
Next time we will have to do one of the bigger mountains in CO.
