Here I sit, waiting in the Philly airport returning from the American College of Sports Medicine conference in Indy.
I have a new type of natural disaster warning that I have now experienced. Last night in Indy there were tornado warnings! The wind and rain were intense! It was a lot like hurricanes in PA. I ended up taking a $14 cab ride to go 2 blocks so I didn't have to walk back to my hotel in the weather. Crazy stuff.
The highlight of the conference was seeing all of my former labmates and being there when my doctoral mentor recieved a citation award from the college. We all had a great time!
Considering that my flight is supposed to leave 10 minutes...and there is not even a plane outside the gate...I hope I get home tonight.
