Simon and I have had a low key weekend catching up on household things (laundry...), talking (about big decisions), spending some time with friends, and doing some work.
Simon mentioned today that he felt like he was in an art slump. He has a gigantic canvas in the basement and another one that is hiding behind our big bookcase. For those of you who don't know, Simon is a fantastic artist but typically likes to paint small things (his favorite thing to paint is greeting cards). He is a funny guy. Anyway, he is spending today trying to get out of his slump and searching for inspiration by looking at some of his old stuff.
So here is my challenge to you all...please suggest ideas for Simon to paint on these canvases. He is open to anything, floral, landscape, abstract, landscape, acrylic, oil, spraypaint, or his specialty "stick painting". Not what your are thinking...he wore out a brush down to the stick and continues to paint with it. Crazy thing is that the stick produces some interesting visual effects.

Simon, just do what you do best, just bigger and more of it. It will be great. If you want I can send you some of the pictures you did when you were home. Te amo
